Description |
The Mur (German: Mur, Croatian, Hungarian and Slovene: Mura) is a river in Central Europe, a tributary of the Drava and subsequently the Danube. The Mur's total length is 465 km, of which 295 km is in Austria, 98 km is in Slovenia and the rest forms the border between Croatia and Hungary. The largest city on the river is Graz, Austria. Short portions of the river also form part of the borders between Austria and Slovenia and Hungary and Slovenia.
The source of the river is in the Austrian national park Hohe Tauern. The source is 1,898 m above sea level.
