Known from Shark Bay (Ref. 115274), W. Australia to Moreton Bay, Qld incl. the W coast, the NW shelf, the N coast and the Gulf of Carpentaria in the N Terr., the NE coast and the G. Barrier Reef (Ref. 7300); also from the Torres Strait Islands (Ref. 13465). Adults uncommon after Southport; juveniles found south to Sydney (Ref. 78751). Museum: LPPL JIF184 (TGT3109).
