Comments: 1991 biomass of lingcod in the Strait of Gerogia was estimated to be over 95% reduced from 1951 level; as of 2001 the abundance remained at very low and stable levels since the closure of commercial fishery in 1990; recommendation was to close the fishery to all types of gear (Ref. 87983).
