Comments: Known from Senga Bay, Kande, Domira Bay, the southwest arm and the north and middle of the southeast arm of Lake Malawi, Nkhotakota, Young's Bay, Nkhata Bay, Mtekete, Leopard Bay, Karonga, Chilumba and Monkey Bay (Ref. 55925). Exported as an aquarium fish (Ref. 5595).
