Épines dorsales (Total): 7; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 11; Épines anales 1; Rayons mous anaux: 12. Eyes reduced, size do not fill the socket. Both sexes with jaw extending to the rear margin of the orbit. Pectoral fin count high (usually 18, 17-19). Tail elongated (Ref. 33570).
