The Commission guides the parties of the Convention on Future Multilateral Cooperation in Northeast Atlantic Fisheries. The aim of the Convention is to promote the conservation and optimum utilization of the fishery resources of the Northeast Atlantic area within a framework appropriate to the coastal State jurisdiction over fisheries.
