Isinglass
(English) Gelatin product from the collagen in the outer layer of the wall of the swim bladder; the best grade is reputed to be made from sturgeon swim bladders, but those from cod, hake, ling and other species also give a good product; used for clarification of wine and beer, and to a lesser extent for edible jelly and adhesive manufacture.
