Diagnosis |
Body slender and elongate, color is black; body depth 7.4-12.4% SL. Head length 10.5-15.8% SL. Lower jaw about as long as upper jaw. Long, tapering, protrusible snout. Short chin barbel 18.3% SL, with a single terminal bulb; barbel with 2-3 branches arising from stem. Branches with several to many filaments which often end in bulblets. Terminal bulb twice as long as it is wide and has 1 prominent filament and several minor filaments. Two tightly bound pectoral rays (Ref. 37039). |
