Diagnosis

This species is distinguished by the following characters: interorbital space narrow and concave; dorsal profile steep and head with a slight notch; first gil arch, the lower limb with 8-9 non-serrate gill rakers; lateral line scales 48-58; upper jaw with biserial teeth; both sexes with small knob on snout tip and on mandibular symphysis (Ref. 114220).
