Diagnosis

With 11-12 predorsal scales; lips not hypertrophied; mouth arched; sheath on lower jaw without sharp edge; color plain olive brown with reticulate pattern; a midlateral stripe from a point about halfway between gill-opening and dorsal-fin origin to base of caudal fin; submarginal stripes along upper and lower margin of caudal fin (Ref. 36949). Dorsal fin with 7 branched rays; caudal fin without noticeable marks (Ref. 43281).
