Has a long and pointed snout (snout length 1.9-2.1 times in head length); a usually faint color pattern; two small, faint, longitudinally elongated, black blotches at the base of the caudal fin (Ref. 27732); eye in posterior half of head (Ref.12693).
Body shape (shape guide): elongated.
Inhabits rivers with slow current and muddy to sandy substrate (Ref. 27732). Feeds on benthic invertebrates (Ref. 12693).
