Marine; demersal; depth range 50 - 300 m (Ref. 2683), usually 50 - 100 m (Ref. 7358). Tropical; 34°N - 16°S
Eastern Atlantic: Casablanca, Morocco to Baia dos Tigres, Angola. Rare north of Dakar, Senegal.
