Anal soft rays: 10 - 11. Characterized by the following: 29-33 longitudinal scale rows; 18 predorsal scales; 10-11 anal fin rays; 18-20 pectoral fin rays (Ref. 75175).
Occurs in intertidal rocks and pools. Also found ,on rocks, sand and girders in the sublittoral zone as well as in areas of heavy wave surge perhaps facultative on echinoderms (Ref. 5299).
