Short description
Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics
Vertebrae: 36. Preoperculomandibular sensory canal is without connection to infraorbital canal (Ref. 57693). Pelvic-fin origin is 3-5 scales in front of dorsal-fin origin; pelvic fins are short, not reaching to anus (Ref. 57693). Lateral line is incomplete, reaching to vertical of tip of pectoral fin or to vertical of anal-fin base, perforating 7-30 scales (Ref. 57693). It has 46-52 + 2-3 scales in lateral series (Ref. 57693). There is no scaled keel between posterior pelvic-fin base and anus (Ref. 57693). A faint and diffuse epidermal black stripe is present from eye to caudal-fin base in live and preserved individuals (Ref. 57693).
