Broad body (width 17.3-22.1% SL); last dorsal spine not serrated; dorsal and pelvic fin rays branched; 12-13 predorsal scales; dorsal fin base length 34.0-39.7% SL; 7 scale rows between dorsal fin origin and lateral line; many horny tubercles scattered on each side of snout tip, extending posteriorly to region below anterior margin of orbit (Ref. 42977).
Inhabits flowing hill streams with rocky beds, smaller individuals in shallow and fast flowing waters while larger ones in deeper, slower waters (Ref. 42977).
