Africa: Okavango and Kafue system in southern Africa (Ref. 52193). Also in the lower (Ref. 42510, 41585), middle (Ref. 11970, 41590, 41591, 82705) and upper (Ref. 106245) Congo River basin. Reports from the upper Zambezi and some from the Kafue (Ref. 12524, 13337, 94654) are misidentifications of Nannocharax dageti (Ref. 95523).
