Etymology: Paraclinus: Greek, para = the side of + Greek, klinein, kline = sloping and bed, due to the four apophyses of sphenoid bone (Ref. 45335); integripinnis: Paraclinus near Clinus; intergrinpinnis - entire fin, in allusion to the undivided dorsal fin comprised entirely of spines (Ref. 4930).

Inhabits tide pools and rocky areas. The few stomachs which have been examined contained isopods and amphipods (Ref. 4930).
