Distinguished by the following combination of characters: 2nd dorsal fin rays modally I/9; body with 5 or 6 lateral pale brown blotches and 6-7 brown longitudinal lines and cheek with 10-14 tiny black dots (Ref. 33279). Anal fin with 1 simple and 7 branched rays (Ref. 43281).
Found among large gravel and rocks in rapids (Ref. 33279).
