Big mouth with a pair of large canines on anterior part of lower jaw; vertical diameter of eye 2.9-3.35 in head length; long pectoral fins 28-30% of SL; branched anal rays 63-67; humeral blotch smaller than eye; absence of black margin on pectoral and pelvic fins.
