Issue
This species is probably a synonym of Gymnelus retrodorsalis Le Danois, 1913 according to Mecklenburg et al. (2011: Ref. 86838:124). Treated as such in in Eschmeyer (CofF ver. Jul. 2013: Ref. 93826). Please send references or more studies are needed.
