Cheeks with many minute dark brown spots in males, with several irregular short lines in females; throat with densely-set white round spots in males; body with 5-6 longitudinal rows of light brown spots (yellowish orange in life) in males; 6-8 dark brown lateral blotches; some females marmorated; pectoral base with cluster of dark spots in males, with a black spot and a vertical black line in females (Ref. 43281).
Inhabits small forest creeks and in riffles of streams (Ref. 43281).
