Biologie     Glossaire (ex. epibenthic)

Inhabits typical Mediterranean intermittent streams. Substrates consist of pebbles, rocks and some silt. Towards the end of the summer, most fish occur in the remaining isolated pools of water along the streambed. All populations are under threat due to habitat loss, caused by water abstraction (surface and underground) for irrigation purposes, as well as from organic pollution originating from various olive-oil extraction plants (Ref. 57755).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00832 (0.00518 - 0.01336), b=3.15 (3.01 - 3.29), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this species & Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Niveau trophique (Ref. 69278):  3.3   ±0.4 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Résilience (Ref. 120179):  Milieu, temps minimum de doublement de population : 1,4 à 4,4 années (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (19 of 100).
