Freshwater; benthopelagic. Tropical; 13°S - 19°S
Africa: Cunene River system (Ref. 7248, 33857, 120641). Also reported from the Camaloa River (Caluango River affluent, Luangwe/Luangue system, Kasai drainage, middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 7248, 11970) in Angola, but this is unconfirmed in Ref. 120641.
