Description of culture system |
Cages of 11.5 m3 capacity (4.0 x 2.4 x 1.2 m) made of fine mesh were stocked in a `poor' water quality station. A `poor' station was defined where measured early morning D.O. concentrations was consistently less than 3.0 mg/l. |

Description of Nutrient input |
Feed was given daily three times a day (morning, noon, sunset). The feed is a ground (1-3 mm size) commercial feed (Comfeed) made up of 24-26% crude protein, 6-8% fat and has a metabolizable energy content of 2.6-2.8 kcal/g. |
