Description of culture system |
Cages of 11.5 m3 capacity (4.0 x 2.4 x 1.2 m) made of fine mesh were stocked with light attractor (simple pressurized `Petromax' kerosene lamp). The lamps were lit daily after sunset (1800-1900 hrs.) until sunrise (0500-0600 hrs.). The experiment was done to determine if natural foods could be attracted to fish using light. |
