Diagnosis: deeper bodied than B. rhoadesii, B. spectabilis and B. lepturus, and with a large part of the oblique dark lateral band, posterior to the level of the anal fin origin, situated below the upper part of the lateral line; larger interorbital than B. heterotaenia (Ref. 55954).
Coloration: subadults: orange color on pelvic fins, anal fin and lower part of caudal fin (Ref. 55954).
鑑別: 更深地身體了勝於 B. rhoadesii, B. spectabilis 與 B. lepturus, 而且具有一個斜深色的側面條紋的大部份,在臀鰭起源的水平後面, 位於側線的上半部下面了; 超過 B. heterotaenia 的較大的眼間骨.(參考文獻 55463)
