Etymology: Porochilus: Greek, poros = porous + Greek, cheilos =lip (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Joan François Obbes (1869–1963) was a Dutch artist. He did the illustrations in Weber’s monograph in which the original description of these species was published. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
