Kurzbeschreibung
Bestimmungsschlüssel | Morphologie | Morphometrie
Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt) : 19 - 21; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt) : 13 - 14; Afterflossenstacheln: 3; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 9 - 12; Wirbelzahl: 35. Easily distinguished from all other species of the genus by having a row of dark blotches forming a more or less continuous band along the abdominal side, and by having infraorbitals 3 and 4 co-ossified instead of separate. Differs from most Crenicichla species in having a smooth-margined instead of serrated preopercle (Ref. 26677).
