Biologia     Glossario (es. epibenthic)

Inhabits clear streams with sand and granitic rocks bottoms covered by dense mats of the plant Apinaga multibranchiata (Podostemaceae) in areas of fast water. Feeds on larvae of aquatic insects such as simuliids and trichopterans that were found among the podostemacean plants. A few ants and spiders were also found in the stomachs.
