Distinguishing characteristics: length of premaxillae 23.5-27.0% SL; short anterior premaxillary teeth: I-1: 3.0, II-1: 1.9, II-2: 4.5, II-3: 4.8, III-1: 1.1, III-2: 1.9, III-3: 2.5, IV-1: 1.0, IV-2: 2.0, V-1: 0.9, V-2: 2.4 mm; esca with a single pair of laterally directed lobes, prolonged into tapering tentacle-like filaments in larger specimens; dorsal most medial escal appendage wart-like and untapering (Ref. 86949).
