Body grayish-yellow on back and sides. Snout slightly projected; body naked; skin folds present along anterior section of lateral line and tend to disappear rearward (Ref. 45563).
Inhabits river valleys and plateau lakes at an altitude from 3,000 to 4,300 meters above sea level. Favors slow current and surface level of clear and cold main streams (Ref. 45563).
