পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ) : 3; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ) : 7 - 9; পায়ূ কাঁটা : 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 6 - 8; কশেরুকা : 36 - 37. Mouth terminal; preopercular-mandibular cephalic sensory canal does not communicate with infraorbital canal; infraorbitals four and five considerably large, often fused (Ref. 28035); 34-39 + 2 scales on lateral line, snout pointed; head length greater than body depth; a black dot on each scale; and 1½ -2½ scale rows between lateral line and pelvic origin (Ref. 59043).
