背棘 (总数) : 3; 背的软条 (总数) : 7; 臀棘: 2; 臀鳍软条: 5; 脊椎骨: 37 - 38. Body elongated, cylindrical, snout bluntly pointed, peduncle of caudal compressed; snout subequal to postorbital part of head; barbels 6. Scales minute, invisible, only present on peduncle of caudal. Air bladder entirely enclosed in bony capsule. Without a free portion in abdominal cavity.
