পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ) : 8; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ) : 9; পায়ূ কাঁটা : 2; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 8; কশেরুকা : 24. Generally smooth to crenulate preopercle edge, one predorsal scale, 13 well-developed gill rakers on first arch, fourth dorsal spine the longest, and a single dark spot, perhaps appearing as an ocellus in life, on the body just behind the opercle flap. Remarks: caudal fin slightly rounded.
