背棘 (總數) : 13 - 14; 背的軟條 (總數) : 7 - 8; 臀棘: 17 - 19; 臀鰭軟條: 13 - 14; 脊椎骨: 29 - 30. Differs from its congeners by the following combination of characters: caudal fin forked; conspicuous dark brown opercular spot; distal part of first soft pelvic-fin ray white; posterior tip or margin of scales on body conspicuously darker than scales, not darker than scales on head and predorsal back; dark spots on top of head; predorsal back with 3-5 dark brown saddle-like blotches; spots and bars on dorsal and caudal-fin membranes grey in preserved and red in live specimens (Ref. 42924).
顯著的深褐色的鰓蓋斑點; 第一個軟的腹鰭鰭條白色的末梢部部份; 在身體上的後頂端或鱗片的邊緣顯著地比鱗片顏色更深, 在頭部與前背的背面上不顏色更深鱗片; 在頭頂上的深色的斑點; 前背的背面有 3-5個深褐色的像鞍狀斑一樣的斑塊; 在背鰭與尾鰭-鰭的薄膜上的斑點與橫帶灰色的在保護與紅色的在活體中.(參考文獻 42924)
