背的軟條 (總數) : 12; 臀鰭軟條: 8. Differs from all other species of the genus in Indochina by the following combination of characters: a complete black bar at caudal-fin base; adults with 11-15 dark bars on body regularly shaped and set wider than interspaces, not forming dark blotches along lateral line and usually meeting their homologues on postdorsal part of the body; predorsal part of back sometimes marbled by irregular spots and saddles; inner anal stripe faint; caudal fin slightly emarginate; pelvic fin origin slightly anterior to dorsal fin origin or below simple dorsal-fin rays (Ref. 40772).
在組合特徵之後在印度支那有別於所有的其他種的本屬藉由: 在尾鰭基底的一條完全的黑色橫帶; 成魚有在身體上的 11-15條深色的橫帶經常形狀與組比間隙寬, 不形成黑色斑塊沿著側線而且通常在身體的後背部份上碰到他們的同系物; 背面的前背部份有時藉著不規則斑點與鞍狀斑有大理石花紋; 內部的肛門斑紋模糊的; 尾鰭邊緣微凹; 腹鰭起點些微地位於背鰭起點前或在單一的背鰭鰭條之下.(參考文獻 40772)
