Épines dorsales (Total) : 0; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 8; Épines anales: 0; Rayons mous anaux: 7. Sides of the body light tan or silvery with numerous black pepper-like spots. Belly white. Fins clear. Shape of the body is fusiform with the ventral area somewhat dorso-ventrally flattened. Mouth inferior with any teeth, small, but conspicuous barbels at the corners of the mouth (Ref 53793).
