Diagnosis: Insertion of pelvic fins far behind dorsal fin base, closer to origin of anal fin than to posterior end of dorsal fin base. Dorsal and pelvic fin rays remarkably elongate and filamentous. Prepelvic length 69.4-71.5% SL; distance between anus and origin of anal fin short, 4.2-6.1% SL. Dorsal fin rays 10; anal fin rays 28-29. Myomeres 41-42 + 38-40 = 80-81; peritoneal pigment spots 11-12. Pigment spots absent posterior to dorsal fin on body dorsal line, on caudal peduncle, on dorsal, anal, and pelvic fin rays. Vertebrae 38 + 41 = 79.
