পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ) : 2; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ) : 21 - 22; পায়ূ কাঁটা : 2 - 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 12 - 13. Dorsal-fin rays II, 21-22 (usually II,22); anal-fin rays II-III,12-13 (usually III,13); predorsal scales extending to point ranging from vertical above anterior supraotic to just short of anterior interorbital pores; lateral scale series 42-48; ctenoid scales beginning at 2-6 transverse scale rows behind gill opening; orbital rim brown (orange to olive in life); and caudal fin 18.5-21.4 % SL (Ref. 57771).

Collected from drop-offs, surge channels and coral and rocky reefs (Ref. 57771).
