This species is characterized by the following: very slender body, unspotted and bronzy; head short, eyes large, gills large; small and low dorsal fins, origin of first dorsal over pectoral fin base; small pectoral fins; small ventral caudal fin lobe. Colour dark brown dorsally and lighter ventrally (Ref. 114967).
