Etymology: Loraxichthys: Derived from Lorax, name of a fictitious character, created by Theodor Seuss Geisel, that plights for the environment and from the Greek ichthys, meaning fish. Loraxichthys refers to the fish that speaks for other fishes; lexa: Named for Alexandra Keane, a sustainability activist, currently a Political Sciences student at the College of Charleston.
