Épines dorsales (Total): 9; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 10; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 7; Vertèbres: 25. This species is distinguished from its congeners by having a long, U-shaped luminous gland, which extends from the throat to just in front of the anal-fn origin (Ref. 96184).
