Biologia     Glossario (es. epibenthic)

This species was collected from the type locality which was a small, shallow stream with clear water, margined by low vegetation, coming out of the forest and crossing a dirt road under a bridge. Associated species found were Paracanthocobitis cf. rubidipinnis, Channa gachua, Pethia meingangbii and P. thelys; and undetermined species of Badis, Dario, Danio and Esomus. The second locality near Htamanthi was a flooded cleared area with stagnant clear water over grasses and a small trickle of stream feeding it and associated species found were the following: Danio cf. quagga, Puntius chola, Pethia meingangbii, Rasbora ornata and undetermined species of Amblyceps and Dario. A female individual as small as 1.66 cm SL was found to have ripening ova (a second female 1.79 cm SL has the same large ovary with ripening ova) (Ref. 119087).
