This species is distinguished by the following characters: body elongated, brown unpatterned; anus at about mid-point of body; snout blunt and short; eyes comparatively large and slightly closer to rictus than to the tip of snout; mandibular pores 5; maxillary teeth uniserial and sharply pointed; MVF: 9-79-194; dorsal-fin margin black (Ref.111066).
