Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt) : 31 - 33; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 27 - 28. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: body covered with ctenoid scales; two lateral lines with about 10 tubular scales; posterodorsal end of the opercle with a small hook; branchiostegal rays 6; conical teeth small; gill rakers well-developed (Ref. 131869).
