পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ) : 0; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ) : 32 - 42; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 3 - 4. Body rings: Trunk 16; tail 30-31 (Ref. 6820).
Majority of collections are from freshwater streams and rivers. Probably reaches 14.5 cm SL. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
