Africa: known only from the holotype from the headwaters of Bagbwe River (Sewa River basin), Sierra Leone (Ref. 3202, 57223).

Épines dorsales (Total) : 1; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 5; Vertèbres: 31. Diagnosis: buccal disk large and rounded; mandibular barbels short, no auxiliary barbels; premaxillary teeth large, arranged in 4-5 rows; 8+8 mandibular teeth; adipose fin short; caudal fin deeply forked; eyes not very large (Ref. 57223). Coloration: similar to that of Chiloglanis lamottei: body covered with numerous small dark spots, more or less uniformly distributed on dorsal surface (Ref. 57223).
