marien demersaal; diepte 45 - 495 m (Ref. 9626), usually 150 - 250 m (Ref. 9626). Subtropical; 35°N - 9°N, 98°W - 57°W
Western Atlantic: North Carolina and Florida (USA), Bermuda, Cuba, Yucatan (Mexico), Puerto Rico, Lesser Antilles, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Venezuela (Ref. 3276). Probably throughout Caribbean (Dooley, pers. comm.).
