Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Found in lowland streams and peats (Ref. 57235). Adults occur in large rivers. Feed on insect larvae and zooplankton. Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same family (Ref. 205).
