背的軟條 (總數) : 42; 脊椎骨: 47. No coronal pore, 7 preoperculo-mandibular pores. Head large (27% SL), and very compressed (40% HL); gill slit large (1.3 eye diameter), opercular flap long, wing-like, reaching behind midpectoral length and level with pupil. Pectoral fin short (45% HL), with two notch rays.
沒有冠孔,7個前鰓蓋-顎骨的孔。 頭部大的 (27% SL), 與非常扁長形的 (40% HL); 鰓縫大的 (1.3 眼直徑), 鰓蓋長的﹐翼狀的, 和瞳孔達到在後 midpectoral 長度與水平。 胸鰭短 (45% HL),有兩個凹槽鰭條。
Known only from the holotype collected from midwater (Ref. 42989). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
